Over the years, I’ve witnessed the generosity of the Babylon 5 community. I’ve seen it support Lori, R.J., and Hunter Biggs after the untimely death of Richard Biggs; help Timothy M. Earls, when strikes and injuries endangered his home; and Peter David, when medical bills seemed insurmountable.
I’ve established this space to help those who’ve entertained us when they are in need.
Please consider donating, if you have the means.
Every little bit helps.
Peter David wrote “Soul Mates” and “There All the Honor Lies” during Babylon 5’s second season, and the Crusade episode “Ruling from the Tomb”. He also novelized the first two TNT movies, and wrote the Legions of Fire trilogy, chronicling the reign of Emperor Mollari II.
For the last three years, Peter David has been seriously ill, and the financial burden on his wife and family has been extreme. Their friend, Graham Murphy launched a GoFundMe in 2022. It has, over the last three years, been reactivated when the situation became more dire.

Gabriel De Cunto was one of Optic Nerve’s special makeup effects artists. As Gabe Lozano, he worked on the fourth season of Babylon 5. After changing his name, he continued on the series, providing aliens for Thirdspace, In the Beginning, season five, The River of Souls, A Call to Arms, and Crusade.
Just as the entertainment industry began to recover from the recent strikes, Gabriel De Cunto’s home burned down during the Los Angeles fires of January 2025. Jonah Levy established a GoFundMe to help him rebuild.

Carel Struycken is probably best known for playing Mr. Homm on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Lurch in The Addams Family films, and the giant/fireman in Twin Peaks, but he made a brief visit to Babylon 5 as the trader in alien artifacts who set up shoppe in the Bazaar for “Soul Mates”.
Struycken and his wife lost their Altadena home in the Eaton fire. At seven feet tall, Mr. Struycken had the additional challenge of replacing his wardrobe. Their son-in-law, Michale Anspach, established a GoFundMe to help them recover.

As the universe continues to be an unfair one, I will endeavor to present those in need of aid to you. It’s the least I can do.
Thank you for your attention,
